                 First thing GM Young had to do was sign a Coach....and over the summer he did just that with Garth Shindle accepting! With no large turnover of players other than Lewadnuik & Leslie for the previous season, Young & Shindle were excited about what was ahead. As for imports, Young was able to sign former pro goalie Steve Christie who brought along with him ex Bison Chris Benias. On the local side, Brock Vanderveen & Mitch O'Brien returned from Junior to shore up the offence/defence.

  The Beavs started on 3 game skid before a shut out win over Notre Dame but followed that up with 2 loses. By mid Jan/14 they were below .500 and Coach Shindle was frustrated with the lack of dedication and committment. Close to walking away, Garth stuck, even as things did not improve, it out to see the entire season through.

  This year's edition finished in 5th just ahead of Notre Dame & Stonewall and would play Altona iin the 1st round of playoffs. They dropped the 1st 2 games 6-3 & 11-3 but then goalie Christie took over winning the next 2 almost single handedly 6-2 & 4-2! In the 5th and final In Altona, it came down to OT and a 3-2 loss that could have gone iin Carman's favour at any time.

  Team awards and windup were held in April ( see awards ). Coach Shindle commented he enjoyed more games than he did not after all and was happy about the boys run in the play offs. They fiinished 9-10-1 with 70 GF which is lowest since 2001-02 which indiicates the trouble the team had staying in some games. However their GA was 4.15 the lowest in 5 years which also shows they were in most of the other games.
